Offered in this lot is a vintage 1930 Hanau Engineering Co. Bakelite Dental Alcohol Blow Torch Tool, made in Buffalo, NY, USA. This 1930s vintage dental blow torch was patented by Rudolph Hanau and manufactured by Hanau Engineering Company. The body is black Bakelite. There are no cracks or chips to the Bakelite, but there is tarnish to the metal fittings. Apparently these blow torches were used for dental work, to making molds for dentures and whatnot. Like many tools from the past, this blow torch could still do a full day’s work today. It stands 7 1/2" tall and appears to be in good working condition, but it could not be tested as it needs a wick.
