For your consideration is this vintage 1948 Great Falls Select flat top beer can from Great Falls Breweries Incorporated in Great Falls, Montana. Brewery Great Falls Select was established in 1933 and was situated in Great Falls, Montana. One of the first breweries in Montana, the brewery was formerly known as Great Falls Brewing Company. The Great Falls Brewing Company was compelled to close its doors during Prohibition in the United States. However, the brewery was able to reopen under the name Great Falls Select after Prohibition was repealed in 1933. The brewery was acquired by the Carling Beer Company in the 1960s after going through a number of ownership changes throughout the years. The G. Heileman Brewing Company bought the facility in 1975 and kept brewing Great Falls Select beer there. The brewery encountered financial issues in the 1990s and was forced to close. However, a group of regional investors revived the brewery in 2018 after buying the Great Falls Select brand. The brewery and taproom underwent renovation by the new owners, who then resumed making Great Falls Select beer. The can shows red, black, white and gold colors with a red flag with white lettering reading, "Great Falls Select" and "Fine Beer" below that in red lettering. Above the flag it shows the old Great Falls Select brewery. The top and bottom of the can show a red background with white lettering reading, "A Quality Product" and on either side in red lettering with a white background it reads, "Great Falls Select". The can shows very good condition for its vintage age and has been opened on the bottom. The logo is in good readable condition with no fading or scratches present. The can measures 2 5/8" in diameter and 4 3/4" in height.
