Featured in this lot is this pair of vintage .830 feminine vanity boxes, circa early 1900's. There are two boxes in this lot. The first is smaller with a round format and pressed .8/30 silver; its markings are just inside the rim of the bottom lid connection and read “.830”, "S". and "N.H." for the maker’s mark. The next vanity box is an ovular shape with a floral arrangement rim; it is constructed from .830 silver with a "S" hallmark next to the silver content mark. The condition of these vanity boxes is good, with wear consistent with age and use. The measurements of this pair of vanity boxes are 3/4" x 1 5/8" x 1 1/2" for the smaller and 1" x 4 1/8" x 1 3/4" for the larger. The collective weight is 94 g.
