For your consideration is this Custom Hand-made Bamboo Two-piece Flyfishing Rod with a Vintage Pflueger Taxie Reel, circa 1930s to 1940s. Montana features North America's highest density of blue ribbon wild trout waters, and with books like Norman Maclean's American classic of life along Montana's Blackfoot River, "A River Runs Through It", as well as his son John Maclean's lyrical companion "Home Waters: A Chronicle of Family and a River", it's no wonder hand-made bamboo fly fishing rods are so popular in the fly fishing community. This fly rod has been well preserved, the guides are intact, the hand wrapped twine is varnish sealed in place. The rod guides, copper screw connectors and attached Pflueger Taxie reel display rich patina throughout. Measures 106" assembled, combined weight is 2lb, 2oz.
