This Barstow french roll pan measures 8 1/4" by 14" overall long, with 12 cups measuring 2" by 4 5/8". Its walls are very thin, making it relatively light for its size. Note that this make of pan doesn't have a "hang hole". This style pan was manufactured in the late 1800's to early 1900's by the Barstow Stove Co. The wood and coal stoves produced by Amos Chafee Barstow in his Point Street foundry in Providence, RI starting in 1849 were immensely successful and won several national awards, as well as a medal of merit at the 1873 Vienna World’s Fair. Before the end of the century the company was the largest stove company in New England, employing 200 workers and offering 50 different kinds of stoves. The company failed in 1930.
