Included in this lot we have a vintage cast iron sliding scale with brass counter weights. The piece shows a cast iron base with a steel bowl. The scale limb along with the counter weights are made of brass. The scale arms are marked for pounds, ounce, and gram measurements. The piece shows a tag from the department of agriculture reading "Dept. Of Agriculture Weights & Measures Approved". The scale is free of manufacturer or model information. It is in good condition overall with some wear indicative of age. The scale measures 15 1/2" long by 4 1/2" wide at the base and 8 1/2" tall.
