Offered in this lot is an Vintage Colonial Revival Dresser, circa 1920s-1940s. This dresser features a wonderfully and professionally crafted mahogany wood construction that features a front face carved fan/shell motif - a signature hallmark of late 19th to early 20th century, turned front feet, decorative drawer pulls. Showers Brothers Furniture Company, based in Bloomington, Indiana, was once known as the largest furniture factory in the world. Their dressers are now highly valued antique and vintage pieces, often featuring dovetail construction, solid wood like walnut or mahogany. Early 20th-century pieces (c. 1900–1920s) include styles like Hepplewhite or Shaker, frequently utilizing materials like tiger maple, oak, and cherry. At its 1920s peak, the company produced more than 60% of all furniture manufactured in the U.S., shipping 16 train-car loads daily.
