For your consideration is a collection of Vintage Hunting Photographs, circa 1910 to 1930. Two of the photographs show a hunter standing next to his successful hunting quarry; one studio mounted photograph shows a very well-dressed dapper looking gentleman, standing in a field and holding an exposed hammer breechloader side-by-side shotgun. Lastly is a photograph on which the reverse states, "Fred Stone, actor goes hunting. Hollywood, Calif". Fred Stone was an American actor who began his career as a performer in circuses and minstrel shows, went on the act in vaudeville, and became a star on Broadway and in feature films, which earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His list of good friends included Annie Oakley and Will Rogers. In the photograph, Stone is seen in a gun store at the counter listening to a salesperson who is holding a box of Peters High Velocity shells.
All the photographs are in overall good condition, the studio mounted photograph has corners torn of the mount but the photograph is intact. Age tanning and minimal foxing noted. No other obvious marring seen. Largest measures 10.5"W x 14"L for the mounted photograph, the photograph itself measures 5"W x 7"L.
