For your consideration is this beautiful Vintage Martin Victor Furs Multi Fur Hooded Parka Jacket, circa 1970s-1980s, women's parka. Martin Victor Furs were located in both Juneau and Fairbanks Alaska, the Juneau store was originally Charles Goldstein Furs - the first Jewish furrier in Juneau. Billed as "Alaska's Leading Furrier", in 1949 Martin Victor Furs became a fourth generation business in Fairbanks, Alaska and remained open as Gerald Victor Furs until the late 1990s. This parka features 3-4 different furs including wolverine, beaver, and coyote. Collar and wrist cuffs are wolverine, hood inner edging appears to be silver fox. Bottom and arm cuff hems are pictorial seal skin with images of dogsleds, reindeer sleds, geese, polar bear, and sailing vessels, interior is quilted, zipper closure, attached quilted hood. Original label attached, "Martin Victor Furs, Inc Genuine Alaskan Furs Fairbanks, Alaska". Jacket is in nice condition, heavy duty zipper and liner detached at the bottom, areas of exterior hood seam split along shoulders, seam split on right sleeve at shoulder, no other marring noted. No size label. Sleeves measure approx 23" from shoulder seam to cuff hem edge, parka length is approx 28" from top back neck to hem edge, and 25" across from back underarm to underarm. Dimensions appear to be for a women's size medium.
