Offered in this lot is a Vintage Bristol-Style Metal Fishing Pole, Pflueger Supreme Reel and Decorated Wood Oar. Bristol copper telescoping fishing rods were manufactured by the Horton Manufacturing Company in Bristol, Connecticut, primarily from 1887 to the early 1900s, features cork handles. These rods were designed to be compact and durable, famously marketed for their "quick action" and ability to be easily hidden by those skipping Sunday services to fish. The Pflueger Supreme reel, circa 1932 to 1934, features bone handles, is one of the most iconic baitcasting reels in history, with a production run that spanned from its introduction in 1916 through 1982. Known for its durability and "quadruple multiplying" 4:1 gear ratio, it remains a favorite for both vintage tackle collectors and anglers who still fish with "knucklebuster" style gear. The vintage stained wood oar, circa 1950s to 1960s, is decorated with cabin / lodge decor painted images: male runner, running shoes, ski poles, rifle, and an outboard motor.
