Presented in this lot is Vintage Mexican Silver Earrings, circa 1960s-70s. The first pair are Sterling Silver and Amethyst round screw back earrings by renowned Mexican designer, Carmen Beckmann, stamped "Beckmann Sterling Mexico" on the reverse. Carmen Beckmann was active in the 1960's and 1970's in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her work often draws on pre-Columbian designs presented in modernist contexts. She is known for necklaces, rings, pins, brooches, and earrings that employ silver and copper decorated with jade and other semi-precious stones. The next pair features clip-on Sterling Silver mounts with large .75"L Black Tourmanline cabochons, sterling twisted rope. ".925" and hallmark "DM" stamped on reverse. The last pair feature square traditional Mexican motif stamped designs surrounding faceted purple stones. "Silver Mexico" is stamped on reverse, screw back. Each set is in good condition, rich patina noted throughout. Collective weight is 37 grams.
