Offered in this lot is a collection of pre-1969 Montana NOS (new Old Stock) Brewery Bottle labels and other collectibles. The collection starts with 23 labels from Butte Brewing Co. (1875-1960). Along with the labels are 3 matchbooks (full) for Butte Brewing Pale Special Beer and an advertising penknife with a blade and a file. The penknife, or pocket knife, has a loop on one end; the pearl color siding on one side reads "Butte Brewing Company Butte, Montana" and measures 2 1/2" closed. The next group of labels is from Highlander Beer (1910-1964). There are 11 highlander labels and a box that holds 6-12oz cans. The box measures 8" x 5 ½” x 5". Next are 8 labels from the Gilbert Brewery. The Gilbert brewery is reported to be the oldest brewery in Montana, running from 1863-1919, making these labels over 100 years old. There are 17 labels from the Anaconda Brewing Co.: Rocky Mountain Beer. This brewery closed in 1958. The last group of 6 labels is from Great Falls Select Brewing, which closed in 1968. All of these items are in excellent condition and are great pieces of Montana Beer history.
