Presented in this lot is a Vintage Navajo Diné silversmith artist Margie Mull Sterling Silver Black Onyx Ranger Buckle, signed. The buckle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and black onyx construction that features a beautifully crafted sterling silver double loop range buckle that has a stamped burst design with sawtooth bezel mounted black onyx tear drop cabochons. Artist's hallmark is on the reverse of the buckle, "MM Sterling". Margie Mull is a recognized Navajo (Diné) silversmith known for her handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, often featuring high-quality gemstones like turquoise, black onyx, and tiger's eye. Her work is characterized by traditional Native American motifs, such as intricate leaf designs and scrolled settings, and frequently bears her distinctive maker's mark. The condition of this buckle is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition, rich patina noted throughout. Measures 1.625"W x 6.625"L from buckle to tip, combined weight is 70.4 grams.
