Presented in this lot are Vintage North & Judd Children's Roy Rogers style Western Spurs and leathers, circa 1950s. Originally manufactured by the North & Judd Manufacturing Company in New Britain, Connecticut, these youth-sized spurs were popular throughout the early to mid-20th century, particularly until the 1950s. These spurs feature the iconic North & Judd "anchor" hallmark on the centre shanks, "snowflake" style five-point rowels, "silver" star on the outer heel bands. North & Judd was a prominent manufacturer of saddlery and harness hardware, famously known for their collectible "Anchor Brand" bits and spurs. Founded in 1832 in New Britain, Connecticut, the company became a powerhouse in the American West by providing durable, forged gear used by both working cowboys and the U. S. Cavalry. The condition of this pair of spurs is well preserved with some marking and patina adorning the stainless steel and wear to the spur straps but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of these spurs is 2.75"W x 7"L x 1.5"H, collective weight is 10oz.
