This is an excellent bolo tie showing a Native American Chief's bust sliding on peyote beaded necklace strand with a nice old vintage age from the Plateau tribes. The piece was likely beaded from the Flathead or Crow Indians of Montana during the mid-to-late-20th century. THe piece shows an expertly beaded Chief's bust bolo tie slide with rope beaded strands having fancy beaded fringes all using glass trade seed beads. The necklace is peyote beaded or peyote stitched. The piece is well kept with little to no bead loss. Measures 18-inches from the back of the neck to the bottom of the fringes, when the bolo is slid all the way to the bottom the necklace strand can be about 30-inches in circumference / long. Bolo slide by itself is 3-inches by 3-inches.
