Crafted with a blend of premium beaver and rabbit fur, this classic model is highly prized for its durability, water resistance, and the custom, molded fit provided by its iconic self-conforming headband, braided hat band. Considered one of the premier Western hats, Resistol was founded in Dallas, Texas and has grown into one of the world's largest, most respected manufacturers of Western cowboy hats. The name Resistol was coined to highlight the hats' ability to "resist all" weather conditions and scalp oils. Unlike many hat brands, Resistol controls every step of production. They manufacture their own felt bodies—blending specific amounts of rabbit, beaver, and other furs. This complete control over manufacturing from "fur to finish" allows them to maintain rigid quality control, resulting in durable, high-performing hats for working cowboys and rodeo champions. Original store tag is attached to the sweat band, size 7 3/8. It is highly versatile, designed to look just as sharp with a suit in the city as it does with denim on a ranch, with the classic cattleman crease crown, curved brim, leather sweatband. and a full satin liner. Designed for functional outdoor use and tough enough for ranch work or rodeo events. The hat is in nicely preserved condition, wear consistent with age and handling, very slight soiling observed.
