For your consideration is a Vintage Visalia Silver Parade Cinch, 1930-1950. This silver mounted cinch features a wonderfully and professionally crafted silver-mounted hand-tooled construction with stamped domed silver conchos affixed to a heavy black leather belt, heavy duty buckles and copper rivets. This parade saddle cinch is a highly decorative high-end type of Western cinch, typically used for show, parades, and exhibitions and adorned to match the silver mounted parade saddle. Vintage silver-mounted parade saddles were primarily crafted during the "Golden Age" of the Hollywood Western (1930s–1950s). These ornate pieces, often weighing 75 to 100 pounds, served as functional works of art for movie stars and Rose Parade riders. Prominent makers included Edward H. Bohlin, Ted Flowers, Visalia Saddle Company and Karl's of Seattle. The condition of this parade saddle cinch is good overall. Leather displays wear consistent with normal use and handling.
