For your consideration is this early 1900s W. Clauberg Solingen Knights Templar Masonic Order sword and scabbard. The blade is engraved near the hilt with the manufacture name, "W. Clauberg Solingen" and a small knight logo. The brass guard shows ornate patterns with a cross on either side of the guard in the center. The blade is engraved with a cross on either side and towards the bottom reads, "W. Clauberg Solingen" and on the other side, "H. R. Caperey Chicago, Ill.". The scabbard is made of brass and features ornate designs on one side with a cross and two brass loops on the locket. It is numbered "138" twice on the backside of the scabbard. The handle is a black stained wood and features a silver colored ornate design with a cross in the center. The bottom of the hilt features a brass knights helmet. Overall the sword is in good condition with a nice patina throughout the brass elements. The blade is in good condition and shows light patina in some areas and some wear marks. The sword measures 36 1/4" L while in the scabbard and has a 28 1/2" L blade.
