For your consideration is this W.H. Jackson Photo Co. cabinet card collection, circa 19th century. There are three original cabinet cards in this collection, with the first one showing a photo of the Summit of Pike's Peak. The second shows the approach to the first tunnel on the Grand River. The last card shows a photo of the Gateway and Pike's Peak. William Henry Jackson accompanied the Hayden Expedition of the Yellowstone Region in the early 1970's and his photographs were instrumental in Congress' decision to establish Yellowstone as the first national park. The condition of these cabinet cards is good, with some wear consistent with their age to the corners and some holes where previous owners hung them. The measurements of these cabinet cards are 4 1/2" x 7" for summit of Pikes Peak and 8" x 5" for the Grand River tunnel card and 5" x 8" for the third.
