For your consideration are three Wells, Fargo & Company Express freight documents from 1877 to 1912. The first, from 1877, is a freight log detailing the package, valued at 500 dollars, was received by L.M. Jacobs and sent from Tombstone, Arizona Territory in September, 1877. The package was one bullion, valued at 500 dollars and was sent to San Francisco, California. The second document is from 1890 and is a freight log sent from Peach Springs, Arizona Territory to Coffeyville, Kansas. The freight they were carrying included eggs and butter and was sent by E.L. Shark. The final document is from 1912 and shows the freight being hay bales. Two shipments were sent, one from El Paso and one from Los Angeles, with both sent to a different supply company. The documents show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The documents measure from 3 1/2" L x 8 3/8" W to 5 3/8" L x 8 1/8" W. They have a collective weight of under 6 ounces. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona.
