For your consideration is this early 1900's hunting knife with leather wrapped handle and slightly curved blade from Western U.S.A. The Western Knife Company was a manufacturer of hunting knives which began operations in Boulder, Colorado in 1911. The company is probably best known for its "Bowie" style hunting knives. The company was purchased by Coleman (the famous manufacturer of outdoor equipment) in 1984. The condition of this blade is good showing a slight oxidized patina to the blade consistent with its age and very little wear to the handle of the knife; the sheath was made for this knife specifically and is in good condition with stamping from previous owner "C.E. Wilson Kemmerer, Wya". The measurements of this knife are 9 3/4" x 1 1/2" and the blade length is 5 1/2".
