Featured in this lot is this Wibaux J.K. Porter branding iron and letters; from the ex-collection of the C.M. Russell Museum and John Kleinschmidt. There are a total of five total branding irons in this collection and perspectively not all were used at the same time to create the brand W-Bar. This collection of branding irons comes complete with a hand written note with information on the Wibaux brand and paperwork with hand written letters of other brands as John Kleinschmidt was a collector and preserver of cattle brand and ultimately the preservetion of the Western Spirit. The condition of this collection of branding irons is preserved with heavy oxidation adorning the brands but otherwise shows a preserved condition. The measurements of this collection of branding irons range from 34 1/4" x 5 1/2" to 49 1/8" x 5 1/2". The collective weight of this collection of branding irons is 13lb 14oz. The branding irons come complete with museum or collectors tags that read as follows: 1396-87 - O'Dell.
