This lot features "Wild Life in the Far West" by James Hobbs (1819 - 1897). James Hobbs was also known as "Comanche Jim" and was the Great-grandson of renowned Chief of the Shawnee Indians, Tecumseh. He became a Texas Ranger, fought as an American in the Mexican-American War, and roamed the Southwest with other mountain men, such as Kit Carson. The book is in good condition.
