This is a true tale of rough adventure in the days of the Mexican War. George Frederick Ruxton (24 July 1821 – 29 August 1848) was a British explorer and travel writer. He was a lieutenant in the British Army, received a medal for gallantry from Queen Isabella II of Spain, was a hunter and explorer and published papers and books about his travels to Africa, Canada, Mexico and the United States. The book is a continuation of Ruxton's book "Adventures in Mexico." and is the story of the author's journey northward from Chihuahua to the Rocky Mountains. The book is in good condition, and has clear a protective sleeve. There is some light wear to the edges of the cover. It measures 5.5 x 7.5"
