This is a scarce first edition of "Wild Life on the Plains and Horrors of Indian Warfare" published by W.L. Holloway in 1886. This is one of the earliest editions offered, thought to be pre-1st Edition. The book has a beautifully decorated gilt cover and spine. The book contains numerous illustrations including Sitting Bull, General Custer, etc. and full descriptions of the Messiah Craze and the Ghost Dance. The book is in good to very good condition. It measures 6.5" x 9.25". The books shows a graphic account of General George Armstrong Custer's last fight on the Little Big Horn, as told by his wily foe Sitting Bull also containing sketches and anecdotes of the most renowned guides, scouts and plainsmen of the west. Profusely illustrated.
