For your consideration is this Willard, Stephen (1894-1966) of a Eastern Sierra Nevada Lake. The scene shows a peak of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range looking over a pristine picturesque lake. Stephen Willard (1894-1965) was one of the Southwest's premier landscape photographers. He settled in Palm Springs in 1922 and photographed desert landscapes until he moved to the Owen Valley in 1947 and opened his studio in Mammoth Lakes. From his base in the mountains, he photographed the magnificent Eastern Sierras. The Palm Springs Desert Museum is the repository of Willard's negatives and prints. The condition of this framed photograph is good with some wear or repairs to the frame but good overall display condition to the artwork itself. The measurements of this framed photograph is 15" x 17" and the visible art measures 9" x 11".
