For your consideration is this Stephen Willard (1894-1966) photograph called "The Minarets," circa 1934. The image shows The Minarets—a sub-range of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Stephen Willard (1894-1965) was one of the Southwest's premier landscape photographers. He settled in Palm Springs in 1922 and photographed desert landscapes until he moved to the Owen Valley in 1947 and opened his studio in Mammoth Lakes. From his base in the mountains, he photographed the magnificent Easter Sierras. The Palm Springs Desert Museum is the repository of Willard's negatives and prints. The condition of this framed photograph is good, showing some wear or repairs to the frame; the artwork is in good overall display condition itself.
