Featured in this lot is this original and hand tinted signed photo of American actor William "Bill" Campbell (1923-2011) in the 1950s. William Campbell was an American actor who appeared in supporting roles in major film productions, and also starred in several low-budget B-movies and horror films. He was known for his roles in "Escape from Fort Bravo" (1953), "The High and the Mighty" (1954) and "Star Trek" (1966). He passed away in 2011 in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 87. The photo shows Bill in a movie costume as he smiles largely at the camera. His signature can be seen in the top left corner reading, "To Jeff - Tally Ho! Best To You, Your Buddy Bill Campbell". It is set in a black frame and is matted once with black matting paper. The photo shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The visible photo measures 8 7/8" L x 6 7/8" W, while the entire piece measures 10 3/4" L x 8 5/8" W x 5/8" D. It has a total weight of 14 ounces.
