The author William Henry Jackson was an American painter, Civil War veteran, geological survey photographer, and explorer famous for his images of the American West. This set was published in 1976 by Sundance Publications in Silverton Colorado. These 72 numbered photographs measure 18.25" x 25.25". This limited edition title, numbered 8 of 3,000 copies, was produced as a U.S. Bicentennial Commemorative Edition in honor of Mr. Jackson. Bound in the original red cover with gilt lettering, this large folio contains seventy-two numbered sepia toned reproductions of photographs taken by William Henry Jackson in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. Measures 19 1/2" x 26 1/2".
