Included in this lot are Antique Winchester Arms and Ideal/Lyman Bullet Molds (3), circa 1895 to early 1900s. The wood handled brass body Ideal/Lyman 311413 (often called the Squibb bullet) is a classic 30-caliber cast rifle bullet mold. It produces a spitzer-shaped, gas-checked bullet weighing roughly 160 to 170 grains, depending on your lead alloy, circa early 1900s. The wood handled Winchester 45 GOV (Government) bullet mold was originally manufactured to cast lead conical bullets for the .45-70 cartridge, historically associated with the Winchester Model 1886 rifle and Springfield Trapdoor. Winchester manufactured its own single-cavity scissor-style molds with a short nose and wide, deep grease grooves. This caliber was used for the vintage Model 1892. The molds are good overall condition, oxidation and pitting consistent with age and use. Respective measurements are 2.375"W x 8.25"L x 1.625"D, 2.125"W x 7.5"L x 1.375"D, and, 2.75"W x 8"L x 1.375"D. Collective weight is 2lb, 12oz.
