Included for your consideration in this lot is an excellent example of a Winchester Model 1890 Pump Action rifle, chambered in .22 Winchester Rim Fire. The rifle was produced between 1890, and 1932. Production of receivers ceased in 1932, though final cleanup of dead-stock was put to use up until 1941 - prior to the permanent discontinuation of the rifle, due to our entrance of World War II. This particular example utilizes a corn cob style walnut for-grip, and straight style butt-stock, with a steel crescent butt-plate, additionally showing the original rear sight and original short blade/bead front sight. lastly, the rifle has a gorgeous 24" full octagon barrel, and a standard magazine tube. The rifle displays all of its correct markings, including "Model 1890 - Winchester - Trade Mark" on the upper tang, Serial Number: "200658" on the lower tang, "Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. - New Haven, CONN. U.S.A. PAT. June 26. 88. DEC 6. 92" on the top of the barrel, in front of the rear sight, PAT. JAN 29. 1901" on top of the rear sight, and "22 W.R.F." behind the rear sight. The rifle was produced between 1902 and 1905, and shows good condition overall, with a strong bore, very light handling marks on the walnut fixtures, a beautiful aged tone to the blue'd finish, and a nice tight action.
