For your consideration is a superb condition, exceptionally rare, Winchester Model 1895 chambered in .30-06 Government and made in the carbine variation. The appearance of this 1895 carbine is stunningly remarkable. It displays a brilliant, deep blue on the barrel and rear sight. All markings are sharp and distinct, including on the correct 24” barrel caliber designation. The upper tang retains sharp Winchester Model markings and the side of the receiver shows all the correct Winchester patent dates, etc. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation, while the blade front sight shows an obvious replacement. The walnut special order shotgun butt stock (a curved crescent butt plate was standard) is in superb condition and features a hard rubber butt plate. The wood to metal fit is impeccable and the fore-end shows the most minor of handling marks. The action is tight. The serial number of this carbine indicates a production date of 1912. Serial Number: 79460B. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
