Offered in this lot is a Winchester Model 37 single-shot shotgun, chambered for 20 Gauge. The M37 was produced between 1936 through 1963, and was used by the National Guard during the Second Great War. This example utilizes a 28" barrel, blue'd finish, walnut fixtures, a brass bead front sight, and a break-action. The shotgun is marked on the left half of the barrel "-WINCHESTER - Model-37-STEELBILT - TRADE MARK - MADE IN U.S.A. - 20 GA - CHOKE - 2 3/4 CHAM.". Overall, the shotgun shows very good aesthetical condition, and good mechanical condition. The blue finish shows good retention, and the walnut fixtures are beautiful, with only very minor handling marks. Mechanically, the action remains tight, the bore is very bright, and the extractor is strong - The brake lever tends to sit loosely.
