This is a Winchester Repeating Arms Company Model 72 .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle bolt action. This bolt action rifle utilizes a 25” round blue’d barrel chambered in .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle. The left of the barrel is marked “Made in U.S.A Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven Conn. – Patent Pending – Model 72 – 22 Short – Long and Long Rifle – Winchester Trade Mark”. The rifle has a dovetailed front sight and adjustable rear sight. The rifle was manufactured from 1938-1949 and shows good condition. The rifle is tube fed. Overall, the rifle appears clean, but there is some wear of the barrel and some dings to the stock. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
