Included in this lot is a Winchester Model 88 .243 Win lever action rifle. This stunning Winchester Model 88 features a 22" blue'd round barrel with dovetailed blade front sight and a pivoting buckhorn rear sight. The barrel is chambered in .243 Win and is marked on the left "Winchester Trade Mark - Model 88 - Cal. .243 Win - Made in the U.S.A. - Win. Proof Steel." The rifle is fixed with a Bushnell Banner 3x-8x scope. The rifle has a five round detachable magazine and features a straight grain walnut stock with checkered fore grip and pistol grip. The butt stock has lost its original padding. Rifling is crisp and the barrel shows some darkness. Date of Manufacture is 1957. The rifle weighs 8lbs 8oz. Serial Number: 51569. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
