Featured in this lot we have a Winchester model 88 lever action rifle chambered in .308 caliber. The rifle was manufactured by Winchester in 1956. The rifle displays a 22" long round barrel, walnut stock, Simmons scope, external magazine, leather shoulder strap, lever action, and iron sights. The rifle is marked across the left side of the barrel reading "WINCHESTER MODEL 88 CAL .308 WIN TRADE MARK MADE IN U.S.A. WIN. PROOF STEEL" with proof marks on the barrel and frame. The model 88 uses a lever action that shifts the trigger housing as well as the bolt. Mechanically the rifle shows working condition with a crisp trigger and a slight catch on the lever action. The rifle shows good condition overall with some light wear due to handling and use. The piece weighs 7lbs 12oz. Serial Number: 26123. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.
