Featured in this lot we have a Winchester Model 94 John Wayne Commemorative large loop lever action rifle chambered in 32-40 and comes with its original box. The rifle was made to celebrate the 100th anniversary of John Wayne (1907-1979). The rifle features a grade 2/3 walnut straight-grip stock, large loop lever, silver nitride finished receiver, barrel bands and receiver, inlaid medallion, polished blued round 18 1/4" long barrel, and special ladder-style rear sight. Both sides of the receiver shows special factory engraving showing images of a stage coach being chased with the wording "Rio Grande Hondo Stagecoach The Searchers She Wore A Yellow Ribbon - The Comancheros - The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" on the left side for the frame with the right showing two cowboys on horseback leading some cattle and marked "The Cowboys - The Undefeated - Red River - Lobo - True Grit Chisum - Rio Bravo - El Dorado-War Wagon-Sons of Katie Elder - McClintock - How The West Was Won". The stock features a inlayed medallion set with a portrait of John Wayne and Marked across the top reading "John Wayne". The right side of the barrel is marked "John Wayne Commemorative" with the left reading "Winchester Model 94 32-40 Win Made In New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. Winchester Proof Steel". The rifle comes with its original commemorative box and papers. The rifle shows good condition overall with some light wear and some corrosion on the lever from the leather tassel.
