Featured in this lot is this framed, Great Northern Railroad, Winold Reiss (1886-1953) "Empire Builder" full calendar from 1942. The calendar features the artwork of Winold Reiss, who is well known for his artwork of the Blackfeet Indians. This artwork shows "Sundance", Piegan Chief in Glacier National Park. The calendar reads, "Sundance - Piegan Chief - Glacier National Park - Painting By Winold Reiss / Route of the Empire Builder Between Chicago And The Pacific Northwest Via Glacier National Park". Below the wording is the actual calendar and appears to be in full condition. It is set in a nice, wood frame and sits behind glass. The calendar shows good condition overall with slight wear present but no major signs of damage is noted. The visible art and calendar measures 32 3/8" L x 15 1/2" W, while the entire piece measures 36 1/2" L x 19 3/4" W x 1 1/4" D. It has a total weight of 8 pounds.
