Featured in this lot we have a Winston 4 weight custom fly rod. The rod originates from the Jackson Hole One Fly set from 1998. The Jackson Hole one fly is a fundraiser competition to raise money to fund stream improvement projects, and they give away gear to the winners of the competition. The rod is beautifully crafted with a dark green fiber glass rod, a cigar style cork handle, and a walrus ivory scrimshaw reel seat with the image of a rainbow trout about to eat a fly over a stone riverbed. The rod is marked "R. L. Winston Rod Co. - Jackson Hole - One Fly '98 - LT - 8'3" - ~4 - 3 oz. - 63246". The rod measures 8 feet 3 inches overall and is in wonderful condition. It also comes with a Winston carry case. This is a completely custom fly rod that would have cost over $2,000 in 1998.
