For your consideration is this beautiful No. 15 tightly woven creel with tooled leather trim and front accessory pocket. The creel retains its original rear carry handle and front closing strap, but the buckle is missing. Tooling on the leather spine shows a 9" marked measure. The creel is marked, "15/ Made in Japan" on the bottom. Most of the creels made since the 1900's were made in Japan for the American tackle shops. The tight split willow weave shows excellent condition. The leather on the creel is stiff and dry from age but still presents well. The creel also features a tooled leather adjustable shoulder strap. While the creel shows good overall condition, the lid does not close all the way. Measures 14" across the bottom and is 9" tall at the back.
