For your consideration is a set of two Vintage WPA 1930's art poster color lithograph for Pennsylvania's Department of Forest & Waters. The first of the posters is a beautiful scene of two deer at the bank of a river, along with a fisherman, in the valley of mountains and forest. The text indicates, "Help Converse our Forests" on the top, and "Be Careful With Fire / Department of Forests & Waters - Pennsylvania / W.P.A. Museum Extension Project -Area Two-" It is a very colorful lithograph with multiple colors of nature. The second of the art posters depicts a couple having a picnic by a lake in the forest at the base of a mountain, with a cabin the background and another man kneeling in the woods. The text indicates, "The State Forests Pennsylvania's Green Forests Invite You" on the top,m and "Healthful - Outdoor - Recreation / parks, camp-sites, cabins, picnicking, gunning & fishing -- timber, water / Department of Forests & Waters - Pennsylvania / W.P.A. Museum Extension Project -Area Two-" It is a very colorful lithograph with multiple colors of nature. The text is a brown, green, and gold. On both pieces the art has a raised, painted feel to it and are both on a sturdy poster board paper. These vintage posters are in good condition considering their age, and are a rare find. The corners of the second poster show some sign of damage. Each poster measures approximately 11" x 14".
