Featured in this lot we have a WW2 Nikko Japanese army artillery spotting scope. Nikko is the predecessor to Nikon. The spotting scope was used for identifying targets for the Japanese armies artillery to attack. The scope is marked on the back of the prism housing, it reads; "25 X 2 30 - Nikko - No 49". The spotting scope is in good condition overall, it is missing its tripod. The scope measures 33" tall by 18" wide, the front lens measures 6 1/4" in diameter.
