For your consideration is a half-body store mannequin wearing a child's sized display World War 2 U.S. Army Service Forces Officer's uniform jacket, pants and cap. This wool uniform jacket is that of a Captain - two gold shoulder epaulet hash marks - with two gold sleeve service stripes indicating six years of service, yellow cloth wings with a red, white, and blue shield superimposed over the left breast pocket, with US Army Air Force wings/propeller buttons. The left shoulder has the unit patch for the US Army Service Forces, long pants and tie are also included. A garrison cap has yellow piping (stripe) indicating a Cavalry unit. The uniform is in olive drab colour, the necktie as well which would indicate this uniform is from after February 1942 as prior to that, the necktie was black in colour. Wool uniforms were standard issue for winter season. It's unique to see this era of uniform with two service stripes given that the US Army had been scaled back from WW1 so that by 1939, there were approximately only 190,000 total personnel. This child's sized uniform is in amazing condition, top button has come off but is included. Mannequin (cloth) and metal stand are in good overall condition, no marring noted. Mannequin and stand measure 28"H x 12"W x 6"D approximately
