Featured in this lot is this WWII English Sheffield machete U.S. Avery 1944 sheath. The machete is wonderfully and professionally crafted steel construction that shows a composite handle and a canvas jungle sheath. The sheath is marked as follows: U.S. - Avery - 1944. The machete is marked on the blade as follows: Made in Sheffield England. The condition of this WWII machete and sheath is well preserved with some slight patina to the blade and wear to the canvas sheath but otherwise is in well preserved condition. The measurements of this machete is 23 1/2" x 3 1/4" and the blade length is 18". The collective weight of this machete is 1lb 6oz.
