This is an early WWII Japanese Arisaka Rifle Type 30 Bayonet from the Kokura Arsenal. The Kokura Arsenal mark was used from 1935-1945. The Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo) showed the same marking and the pieces were made from 1870-1935. The bayonet shows a curled quillon (seen in rare prewar variations) with naval type cross guard and full metal scabbard/sheath with rounded tip. The piece shows very good condition overall, with some wear and light pitting. The bayonet measures 20" long, with the blade being 15 1/2" long.
