Featured in this lot is a World War II Japanese Arisaka Model Type 38 bolt action rifle from 1905. The rifle is chambered in 6.5mm and utilizes a hardwood stock, a blue'd finish, adjustable ladder rear sight, bolt cover, and 30 1/2" long barrel. The rifle is stamped on the front of the receiver with a flower and Imperial seal. The receiver is marked across the side, "1657681", with the Arisaka seal. The rifle shows good condition overall, with a smooth action, a bright bore, strong rifling, a crack across the stock, and solid bluing. The rifle does show some light handling marks to the wooden stock and some light patina to the blue'd finish. Serial Number: 1657681.
