Featured in this lot is this WWII R.A.F strategic flight map Stettin, Germany circa 1942. The map features a wonderfully and professionally crafted cartography construction that shows the map of Stettin, Germany and outlying areas and towns. This is a 2nd edition map that shows the Northern Zone Layer System (Layer Steps Correspond To Those On The R.A.F Conventional Sign Card. The heights are in Metres and is a N.E. 52/14 map. The flight patterns and strategic targets are marked in chinagraph. Night attack by Avro Lancaster bombers of RAF 83 Squadron against Stettin (Szczecin), Poland. Filmed by on board cameras. Camera plane piloted by Flying Officer Garvey. The condition of this R.A.F flight map is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this framed map is 23 1/8" x 29" and the visible map measures 21 1/4" x 27".
