In this lot are wool Uniform Jackets from WWII, WWI, and a Fire Chief. The first is a Royal Artillery, WWII "Ike” Jacket. The Royal Regiment of Artillery, commonly referred to as the Royal Artillery (RA) and known as "The Gunners", is the artillery arm of the British Army. The jacket has patches from the Royal Artillery and the 43rd Wessex, a white shoulder cord, and three rank chevrons on each sleeve. Inside the jacket is a tag that reads, "Battledress Blouse. 1949 pattern size No.10 height 5'9 ' to 5'10" breast 36" to 37" waist 31" to 32" B Bloom LTD miles Platting. Mcr. 10 1949". All buttons on this jacket are intact. The second jacket is a WWI Pilot uniform. This is a very nice World War I, United States Air Service pilot uniform with pins. In addition to the beautiful pins, the jacket sports an Air Service patch on the left shoulder, beautiful US Air Service collar insignia, and caption shoulder bars. The original matching pants are in great overall condition. The pants are marked 32 and the laces at the bottom of the legs are still in excellent condition. Sadly, there is no history that comes along with this uniform, as it is not named. The last jacket is a Dress Uniform Chief’s jacket from the Hook and Ladder Co. 1 of the Saddle Brook, New Jersey fire department. There are no tags in this jacket as they were custom made to the person. All the buttons are intact, as are the lapel emblems, the badge, and the rank stripes on the sleeves. The interesting thing about this Jacket is that even though there are buttons on the front and the breast pockets, they are not functional. The breast pockets are held closed with snaps and the front of the jacket closes with a heavy "Talon" zipper and snaps. These items are in very good condition.
