This is an excellent handwoven flat weave rug by master weaver Pedro Gutierrez using 100% soft fine handspun yarns in a beautiful Antique Yei pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% handspun wool yarns that offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. Tight handwoven weave displayed with natural fleece tones in the fine Antique Yei or Yeibechei (Yeibichai) pattern in the time-honored Zapotec multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Pedro Gutierrez. The rug shows a phenomenal 1920s antique style Yei Navajo like pattern with modern detail showing a soft brown to Dijon yellow background, quadrable band of white, light blue, brown and red / orange at each end and in the middle with two large Yei figures in beautiful color and fine features. The piece is brand new in pristine condition with fine tight weave. The rug measures 2’ by 3’ (2 foot by 3 foot). This is a brand new rug.
