This is an excellent, handwoven, flat weave rug by master weaver, Tito Gutierrez. It was made using 100% soft, fine, handspun yarns in a beautiful Antique Yei pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave displays the natural fleece tones in the fine Antique Yei or Yeibechei (Yeibichai) pattern in the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Tito Gutierrez. The rug shows a phenomenal 1920s antique style, Yei Navajo-like pattern with modern detail and a soft brown to Dijon yellow background, light blue, brown, and red/orange coloration to the four figures in the center of the rug with four, which show beautiful color and fine features. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 2’ 6” by 5’ (2 foot 6 inches by 5 foot). This is a brand-new rug.
